This website contains the complete contents of the 12-volume Jewish Encyclopedia, which was originally published between 1901-1906. This online version contains the unedited contents of the original encyclopedia. Since the original work was completed almost 100 years ago, it does not cover a significant portion of modern Jewish history (e.g., the creation of Israel, the Holocaust, etc.). However, it does contain an incredible amount of information that is remarkably relevant today.

Classicnotes.com 
classicnotes provides free literature summaries and analysis. All of the classicnotes have been written and compiled by harvard essayists. Find detailed summaries, character information, and literature references. Not a first choice, but useful.

Literary Criticism
It is hard to find quality literary criticism on the web.  You will be better served by the databases.  However, there are a few sites with limited information.

Science fiction and fantasy research database
an inclusive tool, designed to cover all aspects of science fiction, fantasy, horror, supernatural and weird fiction. History, criticism, commentary, fan writings and some reviews are all included.  This database is created and maintained by the texas a&m university libraries.  Material is mostly citations - you will have to use public and college libraries and other resources to actually view the material.

includes very helpful toolbar on left corner containing milon ivri angli (e and ayin—double click on word).  A copy button and a search button  (will give you expanded results—will include not only exact word entered but words that contain letters you entered).   Part of snunit’s vast website---they have updated their materials.  Copy and paste text into word.
